About Me

A chance decision a few years ago to give a friend a ride to her art classes in Jacksonville, opened for me a surprising discovery of painting. Working mainly with acrylics, I was drawn to painting because it requires us to look more critically at all that is around us. Painting primarily still lifes and landscapes, I try to understand the color and values that contribute to the appeal of the subject. Every painting presents its own unique challenges. Learning from each is the goal.
